    Description

Cinema quality material for your home theater!
Note: This is bare projector screen material only. There is no frame or border included with this screen.
I sell this material at rock bottom prices! You will not find a seller selling it cheaper, and if you find a seller who is claiming to have this same material, and is selling at much cheaper prices, it is because they are selling much cheaper (and inferior) versions of this material imported from Hong Kong or China! This is a far superior product that is
    MADE IN THE U.S.A!
This is a genuine professional grade 1.0 gain PVC projection screen material!!! This is
    NOT
a cheap blackout cloth or a rubberized canvas type of fabric! This is the same type of high grade material used in the commercial brand name screens!!
(Includes step by step instructions for a professional looking frame!)

Ok, I decided to re-write my ad because I feel that there are a lot of other sellers on eBay that are misleading their customers. There are a lot of sellers trying to pass off all different types of material claiming it to be projection screen material and this is simply not true! They are selling everything from blackout cloth, to rubberized canvas, to plain white vinyl and claiming it to be projection screen material. Some of my competitors are even claiming to be selling the exact same material that I am selling at much cheaper prices. Do not be fooled! I sell a professional grade projection material that is used in all the major brand high dollar screens! There are certain qualities that a projection screen must have that ordinary materials just don't have.
The picture at the bottom of my page shows how a true projection screen is constructed.
There is a reason projection screens are constructed in this way and I will explain why.
    Gain:
The gain of the projection screen is very important! A gain of 1.0 is the ideal gain for a home theater. A 1.0 gain has a completely neutral surface that will not add any artifacts to your projectors image, and all the colors will remain true, with no shift in hue. It also has the widest viewing cone of all the gains so the image can be seen clearly from any angle. A 1.0 gain is also completely free from hot spotting. Hot spotting is when the center of the image appears to be much brighter than the edges, or when watching from an angle, one side of the screen will be brighter than the other.
Some of my competitors are claiming to have higher gains in an effort to mislead their customers into thinking that a higher gain is better. A higher gain is not better! The truth of the matter is, most of my competitors don't even know the gain rating of their screens because they are not selling true projection screens in the first place! Ordinary materials that you can buy in a fabric store don't even come with gain ratings!
    Embossed screen surface:
The texture of the screen is also important. A good projection screen will have a raised textured surface. The textured surface is designed to give a sharper image by blocking out glare from ambient light. It also eliminates light spill by keeping the individual pixels from bleeding into one another.
    Woven fiberglass core:
A good projection screen will have a woven fiberglass core. This is to prevent stretching and sagging over time, and will keep the screen laying flat and wrinkle free. The thread count of the core is also important. The higher the thread count, the more resistant it will be against stretching so your screen will remain flat and wrinkle free for years to come.
    Laminated surface:
Over time, your screen will eventually get dirty and need cleaned. Unlike a cloth based screen, a laminated surface allows you to simply wipe it down with soap and water. It is also mildew resistant which makes it a good choice for outdoor theaters.
    Professional grade:
When I order my material from the manufacturer, I have a choice between 3 different grades. They are all laminated PVC materials, but they make an economy grade, an intermediate grade, and a professional grade product.
I only sell the professional grade material!
Even if you find another seller that offers a fiberglass matte white material, it is probably not the same grade of material.
This is why my material is more expensive than my competitors!
If you have any doubts, I will gladly send you a free sample.

Here are some actual untouched E-mails that I received from happy customers:

Hi Chris, I received your sample materials and liked the matte white material very much. And actually, your matte white looked as good as the Stewart G3 and Studiotek 130 (considered some of the best) and better than your other online competitors. Anyway, I would like to place an order for some material 84"x155" (I believe you quoted me around 0.00). Also, since I am using this material for a roll-up application, I was wondering if you had some (or even use smaller pieces of same material... where I could use the black side) for the top and lower borders (that attach to the roller). Thanks, Jon

    Chris,
I just wanted to write you and thank you for the screen material. I purchased the matte white 1.0 gain material and I couldn't be happier with it. I mounted it on a DIY frame over the weekend and it looks fantastic. The material I purchased off you replaced a Da-lite HCMW (very light grey) material I had been using for about 4 years. The material you sent me is VERY similar in construction to the HCMW from Da-lite. The surface texture is obviously different, but the construction and quality of the material is on par with the material from Da-lite. I was also very happy to see it really is screen material and not just vinyl sold as screen material.
As for the performance, the material provides a higher contrast than the Da-lite HCMW while still maintaining excellent black levels, even for a matte white screen. My wife commented that the image appears to be more colorful and that the image also appears more natural than before.

Chris, after building the screen and finally projecting, I'm thrilled with it... :)
Contrast has jumped so much (I don't really know why), colors are just perfect, white balance is perfect (on the wall there was some extra green which I had to remove by settings, screen is perfect balance), angle is perfect!!! Wall was reflecting too much, so whites were over, now is perfect...
I just think why I waited so long for real screen...
    Thanks!
