A little background about the pen:
For thousands of years, Chinese culture has been based on the teachings of Feng Shui, which aim to improve the quality of life for each individual. Today, the secrets of this traditional wisdom in the areas of health, wealth and happiness have been revealed and have conquered the rest of the world. It was inevitable that these universal values would capture the attention of Caran d'Ache which has worked with a Feng Shui expert to create the Harmony limited edition.
Red is an auspicious color for the Chinese. Hence, this pen comes with bright red Chinese lacquer.  The18k gold-plated leaves enshrine the harmonious bamboo-shaped instrument, shaped as such to symbolize longevity, strength, and tenacity. The 18k Medium (M) gold nib is engraved with the Chinese character for harmony.  Packaged in a beautiful red lacquered wood presentation box along with a compass (a common tool used in the art of Feng Shui). The Chinese believes that 8 is a number that favors good health and prosperity, and therefore the Harmony fountain pen is limited to only 888 pieces. This is a fantastic, early, low edition number of 28 of just 888 pens produced worldwide.   This fountain pen is both heavy and beautiful and would grace any pen collector’s collection!
Comes with all original documentation including the Certificate of Authenticity (COA) for this pen, number # 28 of 888 produced, international lifetime guarantee, directions for use, Harmony brochure, compass, beautiful heavy wood presentation box, cloth outer bag for the presentation box and heavy outer red carboard Harmony packaging box.

of the pen box shows some minor age specifically at the inside hinge where the box opens (and is out gassing with a bit of smell).  The rest of the box appears to be in excellent condition (check out pictures #4 & #5).
