Caran d'Ache dedicated this limited edition 2016 Year of the Monkey pens to the symbols of the Chinese Zodiac, the Year of the Monkey.
The animated figure of the Monkey leaps out in yellow Chinese lacquer on a glossy black background with several layers of lacquer. The Monkey's shimmering coat, its agile long arms and expressive face on the pen body presenting a design that is typically Asian in character.
The attributes of the pens, as well as the individual numbers engraved in yellow gold. Gold symbolises the sun and light, a sign of property and a good omen in Asia.
The pen is authenticated with the calligraphic symbol of the monkey and the Chinese stamp of Maison Caran d'Ache applied in red as a token of good luck.
The Year of the Monkey Limited Edition Bears the official Chinese Lacquer seal and limited to 888 fountain pens.
