    Description

    Caran d'Ache
    Private Collection
    Matterhorn Fountain Pen
I have been collecting pens, pen accessories, coins and limited edition bronzes for nearly 30 years and I have decided to downsize my collections and sell off nearly everything I have collected.  Please check out my eBay store
    The Next Phase
for all of my current listings up for sale on eBay.
    For sale is one
    new-old-stock
    pen from my private collection:
Caran d’Ache Private Collection Matterhorn Fountain Pen with an 18K Gold Medium (M) Nib.
    Limited Edition # 1286 of 1291
Caran d'Ache has an international reputation for exceptional beauty and quality in all of their products for more than 75 years these prestigious writing instruments have been smart in looks and durable in performance. Quality has no limits as each Caran d'Ache writing instrument has the quality and beauty that reflects their Swiss heritage founded in Geneva it remains Switzerland's only manufacturer of fine art products and writing instruments.
PEN is MINT CONDITION - NEVER USED, DIPPED, INKED or DISPLAYED!
Part of the Caran d’Ache Private Collection this pen is numbered 1286 of 1291 produced worldwide!
The pen's body and cap are made of brass lacquered in anthracite grey, reminiscent of the color of rock (sorry my lightbox tends to distort colors so the body looks a little off color). Two ornaments in rhodium-coated solid silver adorn the pen's body and cap.  The cap depicts the majestic Matterhorn while the body reveals a pastoral scene with chalets, pine trees, goats and a Swiss flag. The clip is shaped like a cow bell and the button is crowned by an onyx gentian.
I purchased this pen from Jimmy Dolive of Total Office Products in Atlanta, Georgia at the Los Angeles Pen show in October 2005.  Jimmy is a well respected pen dealer known to the larger pen collector community.
Please note that the back of the outer box
(not the inner presentation box that holds the pen, the
outer box that holds the inner presentation box
) has a small crease at one corner.
    The Fine Print:

photos are of the actual fountain pen and rollerball listed for sale
).  If you have any questions, feel free to message me (but please ask before bidding or purchasing).  Payment is required at auction end; I only ship to a verified eBay address and not to another location.
I am the ONLY owner and ORIGINAL purchaser of this fountain pen!
I am not affiliated in any manner with a pen store, dealer or distributor, I am an individual pen collector selling off my private pen collection among other things I have collected in the almost 30 years of collecting (I’m in the process of downsizing my personal possessions).  I describe each item I am selling to the best of my ability and strive for accuracy in my listings, so you know exactly what you are buying (nobody likes surprises, including me when purchasing something off eBay)!  I have a 100% satisfaction rating as a
    Top Rated
eBay seller, and I am proud of it and stand behind everything I sell!  I am the original and ONLY owner of this pen set!
