    Description

Here is a super Edison Blue Amberol cylinder, #2580, the famous song "I Didn't Raise My Boy To Be A Soldier", sung by soprano Helen Clark
, with her buddies in the chorus (John Young, Harvey Hindermeyer, and William Hooley), and orchestra.  This was recorded on February 15, 1915, and Edison released the cylinder
in April 1915.  By that time, world war one had started in Europe but America was not yet in the war.  A very heartfelt performance by Miss Clark, interesting lyrics, a great listen.  The cylinder plays well with fairly limited surface noise.   I will include a period correct (if somewhat battered) cylinder box for you.  A must have for historians and world war one cylinder collectors, get this one at a reasonable buy it now price, go for it!!!
Shipping to USA addresses only.  .50 media mail postage and fees, I will ship cylinder in a new box.  Please pay within 24 hours of purchase and I will leave you positive feedback when I ship the cylinder, your positive feedback appreciated!  See my store for more cylinder records, I will combine shipping if you buy more than one, and thanks for looking!!
