    Description

Offered here is a beautiful Edison Model A Fireside that has been upgraded to use a Diamond B reproducer. This significantly improved the sound and Volume of all Blue Amberol cylinders, however do NOT play 2 minute cylinders or black wax with the Diamond B, it will destroy them.  This  is a perfect candidate for a further upgrade to an Edison type "O" reproducer allowing you to play any and all cylinder records. You can also attach a Cygnet horn to this phonograph thanks to this upgrade. This is a 2 or 4 minute machine, but again you will not want to use the Diamond B on your two minute cylinders. That may seem like a drawback, but the improvement in volume and clarity on all Blue Amberol's makes this a trade-off worth having. You have to hear it to fully appreciate the improvement. I have played this using a Model "O" from my Triumph so I know both speeds will work. The player comes with the original red Fireside horn, held in place by a reproduction support rod. That rod is the only reproduction part on this outstanding phonograph. I start the bid at 15-hundred because I will pay to have this professionally packed and shipped with insurance and signature required. That service will cost me more than 150 dollars. If you want to pay for your own professional packing, or want to pick up the player yourself, I will accept an offer that is 150.00 less than my 1500 opening price. I will also deliver this to the shipper of your choice in the Milwaukee area should you choose to pay your own packing and shipping. This phonograph plays perfectly and the machine works are dead silent while running. It has been professionally maintained for as long as I have owned it (about 25 years) and kept well oiled and cleaned. It is complete with the original top, which is not shown in the pictures, but it is present and in excellent condition. I have included close up pictures of the stylus of the Diamond B so you can see that it, too, is in outstanding condition.
