    Description

Edison Home Phonograph, Serial No. H121071, Latest patent date: Nov. 17, 1903
Good cosmetic condition, case and mechanism.
Gear train and top mechanism turn free and smooth.
Spring appears to be broken or disconnected from anchor point.  End plate of spring barrel has been removed (lying on bottom inside case).
Winding crank is broken at slotted end (MAY be possible to grind off ~1/2 inch and re-cut the groove so as to restore function and still have enough clearance to turn the crank handle).
The speed governor is missing.  Looks like somebody may have "cannibalized" it to fix a bad or missing governor on another machine.  The two pin socket bearings that hold the governor shaft are present and appear to be in good order.  The governor drive gear and speed control screw and yoke appear to be in good order.
The Model C reproducer that goes with this machine is NOT INCLUDED.  I plan to list it for sale separately once I am able to verify its condition.
The rubber gasket between the carriage and bed-plate is in poor condition.  This does not interfere with smooth operation, but you may want to replace it if you are concerned about absolute minimum noise pick-up from the motor gear train.
One of the 4 internal corner blocks in the lower case section has come unglued (lying on bottom case inside).  It is undamaged, just needs re-glued into position.  Even without this block, the dovetailed case joint is firm and does not need to be re-glued.
The original instruction sheet is present, but it is heavily oil stained.  Looks like it was left lying in the bottom of the case and got dripped on by oil from the motor.
