Edison Suitcase Home Cylinder Phonograph 1904
This Edison Suitcase Home Phonograph is in Good Condition. I must say upfront I don't know all there is to consider when describing this for you so if you have questions please ask prior to buying or bidding. I have not been able to fully test because the unit needs a belt, a horn and a cylinder. The crank works and I can see and hear the mechanisms working and the reproducer moves across the cylinder when manually rotating.  The last patent is November 17, 1903. Serial #H 166940. Comes with Model C 2 minute reproducer.  When I received I noticed something loose inside and figured out that the case is hinged. I unscrewed the crank on the side and removed 2 pieces of corner bracing and this plate and screw that I'm not sure where it goes so I'll leave this for you. Otherwise the cabinet and handle is intact. All dovetails are tight. Estimated shipping weight is 30 lbs. I emphasize that I want to avoid a buyer returning this for any reason. I assume it will require some restoration to meet a collectors expectation and this is understood by the buyer.
