    Description

Edison/Columbia 10 Panel Flowered Morning Glory Horn-one of a kind!. Condition is "Used". I Purchased this horn about 10 years ago from Scott and Denise Corbett at Ontario phonographs in California-at that time Scott told me the history of this horn as it was refinished by an Amish community in Ohio and all the flowers were handpainted by an Amish woman back in the mid-1980s this was when he and his wife bought this horn and it was displayed in their house until I bought it. I’ve been told that the Amish woman who did these has since passed away so it’s the end of an era-I took plenty of pictures of the interior of the horn to detail the exquisite work that this woman did it is again all handpainted and still in very good condition-but wait that’s not all the exterior and interior of the horn were painted in a color that was described to me as ultraviolet! You can see in the picture it’s not quite purple not quite eggplant but more of a shape shifting metallic ultraviolet color in person it’s absolutely amazing this was very difficult to photograph as the surface is so reflective it reflects back any light and the color itself changes depending on which way you view it most people think it’s black until I pointed out to them under light that it’s not and then they all have the same reaction oh wow🙀!! The horn itself is an overall very good condition a few minor dings but all the petals are straight and clear as you can see in the picture the paint itself has held up very well as has the flowers only the gold trim is starting to fade in spots this of course could be touched up if you so your desire but I’d like to leave it original as I got it-I hate reserves but this is so special that I have to put one up feel free to ask questions
