Limited Edition Jimi Hendrix Fine Art Photograph

This is a black and white limited edition fine art photographic enlargement of Jimi Hendrix. It is 11x14 inches and unmounted. This is a silver gelatin resin coated print. This means it is not ink jet.
I am offering these one at a time. This is part of an edition of twelve total enlargements.They are numbered in the lower left corner with a silver pen. They also signed by me in the lower right corner.
I was the photographer who shot this image of Jimi Hendrix. The concert was at the St Paul (MN) Civic Center on May 5th 1970 while I was still in college. I was in the seventh row shooting with a Canon TL and a Vivitar 135mm f2.8 lens.
I have been a professional photographer for over thirty years. I have had a working black and white darkroom for over forty years. Since the advance of digital photography and the demise of film, I have had less and less call for custom black and white printing. I used to do a lot of 4x5 copy negative work for museums. All of my darkroom clients switched to digital causing me to have my lab go unused for three years. I finally decided that having a custom black and white lab was no longer necessary. I went into the lab for one last session. I printed up a bunch of contact sheets and some odds and ends printing that had been sitting on the back burner.
I decided my last darkroom experience could not be busy work. I dug out the Hendrix negatives and picked out one that I had never printed before. I printed fifteen 11x14 enlargements using trays and fresh chemistry.  When they were dry, I went thru them and discarded three of them that had minor flaws. The twelve that remained were signed and numbered. The negative will never be printed again. I would have printed more but I ran out of 11x14 paper.
These prints were dried by hanging by a corner above my darkroom sink by a clothes pin. This can be evidenced by a small mark on the surface in the corner of the print. I did NOT use heat in drying these prints. The mark will fall under any mat you use and is barely noticeable. It is part of the process.
The image was shot on Kodak Recording Film 2475 and processed in Kodak DK-50 Developer at an ASA of 1600 which explains the size of the grain in the image. I have included two detail shots to show the grain that was inherent to this film. It was printed on Kodak Polycontrast IV enlarging paper. Both are no longer available from Kodak.
Somewhere after the internet was created, I tracked down a bootleg recording of the concert. I played it while I was printing these images. Talk about karma.

I did some research on limited edition rock and roll images. I feel the price I have quoted is within the range I found by other photographers with similar images.
The first five have sold. They were numbers 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12  of 12. The last one to go will be number 1 of 12. You are now bidding on number 7 of 12.  If these start selling fast I will raise the price each time I relist by .00 so if you wish to own one, buy it soon as the price may go up.
The enlargement will be shipped Priority Mail with insurance in an oversized box to guarantee safe delivery.
