    Description

8 examples are shown of tributes to various S-Boats that served during World War II in the Pacific.  The name of your family member will be added showing name, rank, and dates of service to create a unique memorial.  I only have 40 envelopes (blank on the left side) with the First Day of Issue of the S-Class submarine Centennial stamp on the right side from Groton, CT, issued in 2000. Matted and framed the envelope would create a permanent tribute to a World War II member of the Silent Service.  (All typos have been corrected on these test printings.)
My father served in the SS-268 Puffer.  You can read the history of that submarine in the book,
The USS Puffer in World War II
, published by McFarland Publishing, and usually available on eBay in used form.
