DESCRIPTION
: This auction features a vintage sterling silver and red enamel pin and clip earring set. The front on both the pin and on earrings has the distinctive niello "dancers" scene on each -- which is something I always picture whenever I think of Siam jewelry.  Although there scenes on the earrings and pin are slightly different, I did purchase these together as a set.  I will openly admit that they could be a "married" set; however, they are close enough in resemblance that they could have been made this way, too.  The pin has a safety clasp closure on the back, which does open and close correctly.  The earrings both have the old clip style closures.  Both the pin and the earrings are marked with, "-->SIAM" and "STERLING." It looks like there may be arrows on the outside and inside of the word "SIAM" which is why I've added them here. I will say, though, that these are difficult to see, too.  Although I do feel this set has been worn and loved in the past, I do feel it has plenty more years and life left in it.  Please do view the pictures as a part of the overall description, as well.

I am considering the age and use of this item when factoring the condition rating

This pin and earring set appears to be in Fair condition for the age and use. It does have some minor age wear seen, including some minor surface scratches. Most of these are only visible under close inspection or a loupe, but I did want to note it for accuracy. The safety clasp pin closure does open and close securely on the pin, and the clasps on each earring are nice and snug.
I do not see any major issues with the red enameling (i.e.- chips, cracks, or missing pieces) on the pin or the earrings either.
I do feel that this was likely polished by the previous owner, as there is almost no evidence of tarnishing at all
.  I only mention this, as it my personal policy not to clean or polish the tarnish off of vintage items. Although I do believe this set was worn and loved in the past, I do feel it has plenty of years of use left in both.
If there is anything I may have missed where the condition is concerned, please feel free to message me and I'll be happy to help. With age and use considered, I would still say this pin and earring set rates in Fair condition overall.
AGE/YEAR MADE: Although exact age is unknown, I do believe this set is vintage. An educated guess would be from the 1940s-1960s.
