In 1963 the Associated Press Poll of newspaper editors named her Woman of the Year. She set 8 major speed records at the age of 55.She received the 1945 Distinguished Service Medal for wartime service, a U.S Air Force Distinguished Flying Cross, and an honorary membership in the Society of Experimental Test Pilots. The page was issued in Indio, California. The stamp is in excellent condition.
