    Description

This is a listing for a Vintage CUNARD WHITE STAR LINE Candy Tin Box (empty).  This depicts the RMS QUEEN MARY coming into a port with the skyline in the background. The name Queen Mary is on the bow of the ship and on the cover at the bottom. On the sides, there are additional renderings of the ship as well as the Statue Of Liberty.  This tin was made to hold Benson Candies.  On the sides, it says manufactured by Benson Confectionery Ltd Bury Lancaster England.  The Queen Mary along with her sister ship the Queen Elizabeth were known for their transatlantic crossings.  She was in service from 1936 until retired in 1967.  She had been operating at a loss for several years.  She sailed to Long Beach, California where she is permanently moored as a wonderful maritime attraction museum and hotel with her terrific Art Deco interior.
This measures about 8" x 5" x 2".   Please look at the pictures for the best view of the item as they are part of the description.  Please ask any questions before bidding.  This is in nice vintage condition with age marks inside and out as see.  The lid closes tightly.  We are always happy to combine shipping whenever possible.
