VTG CUNARD WHITE STAR LINE "AQUITANIA" RITEPOINT JET-FEED PEN & PENCIL SET BOX

VINTAGE CUNARD WHITE STAR LINE "AQUITANIA" RITEPOINT JET-FEED PEN & PENCIL SET with BOX and WARRANTY'S! I believe this was either given or sold on board the ship Aquitania during the late1940s  to 1950. I did see some pens that claim earlier dates but it looks like Ritepoint of St.Louis, Missiori started in 1944. The inscription would indicate that it must be after 1934 as that is when Cunard and White Star merged. The Aquitania was built in 1914 and was nicknamed by her passengers as "THE SHIP BEAUTIFUL". The compression jet-feed pen needs new ink and the cap does not fit tight but the plating,end tip,and general conditions are excellent. The black is still glossy and the mother of pearl body is also excellent. On both the mechanical pencil and pen the graphics are in wonderful condition. Both have CUNARD WHITE STAR LINER in black print and "AQUITANIA"  in red. The black and white image of the ship is correct as it has black smoke coming out of all 4 smokestacks while many others of the White Star line had a false stack. The mechanical pencil is fully functional and I believe it is a fine point. Again the condition is excellent. The clips on both are strong and without distortion. The plating is also good without any sign of wear. The box has a bit of shelf wear and marks where the pen or pencil have been taken out or put in. Nothing to really detract from the uniqueness of the set. The paper GUARANTEE SERVICE CERTIFICATE is in its self is interesting reading. It states the pencil can be promptly repaired for 25 cents to cover postage. There is also directions to refill the pencil but I have not attempted to try it.The COMPRESSION JET-FEED PEN GUARANTEE SERVICE CERTIFICATE is also fun reading as the RITEPOINT  CO. in ST. LOUIS  will replace or repair your pen for 50 cents in coin or stamps. I will only ship in a box.   Altogether this is a rare collector's pen set that could also be used.
