    Winding Key Columbia Graphophone Phonograph Q, AB, B, & Others
    One side of the key show cracks, which do not come out on the other side. I tried to bend the key, it would not give, it is solid, and it is not pot metal. So, it looks to me the the cracks are just cracks of the platting.
    There is lost of plating, the threaded steam, and the brass color of the material comes through.
    As it is, the key will serve the purpose for another lifetime.
